ND Teacher of the Year!!

Ila LaChapelle was voted North Dakota teacher of the year for the 2006-2007 school year. She won 10,000 dollars to spend amongst the school. She decided to use the money to make a garden outside by the school park and buy a portable computer lab for everybody’s use throughout the school!! She is a wonderful teacher and a bright individual. She always makes my day. I’ve taken many of her science courses throughout high school and I’ve truly enjoyed all of them!! Recently, Wally took the time to visit her in her classroom and talk to her a little bit about what she does in school. Mrs. LaChapelle also does many fun activities with her students like the pictures of a Chemistry Ladies in red, where you use bleach to create letters on t-shirts…in the pictures are Elizabeth Blair, Emily Stremick, Molly Hardy, Jenise Anderson, Todd Reck, and Anthony Calvillo.
